BIAŁA WODA is situated in the Bystrzyca Kłodzka commune - in Sudety Środkowe in the southern part of the Kłodzka Valley. The area of the commune covers 338 km2, and is inhabited by approximately 22 thousand people, and it spreads between the Bystrzyckie Mountains from the west and the Śnieżnik Massif from the east.
It is an attractive region with respect to tourism, with a varied lie of the land characterised by a mild submontane climate. The commune embraces towns of significant spa qualities, i.e. Długopole Zdrój and Międzygórze. On its territory there is a reserve of the Wilczki Waterfall, the Śnieżnicki Natural Landscape Park, spas, health resorts and numerous springs of mineral waters.
The landscape qualities of the commune are highly valued by tourists and therefore there are many tracks for walking, cycling and skiing in the commune. Biała Woda borders, within a several kilometres radius, with valued tourist towns, such as the following: Polanica Zdrój, Lądek Zdrój, Stronie Śląskie and Międzygórze. The western border of the commune constitutes part of the national border with the Czech Republic. The international communication route Warsaw – Prague – Vienna runs through the commune (10 km from Biała Woda).
